Anniversary Number Two

For our second anniversary we took advantage of being in Asian and traveled “locally.”  We went to Phuket Thailand.  The effects of the tsunami was still very visible.  The locals seemed very appreciative to see us, as much of the tourism had not returned yet.  What an amazing place.

It’s warm here.  And by warm, I mean hot and humid.  We stayed right on the beach.  We might have eaten fish cakes every single day.  Some highlights included the day we played golf.  Like many of the places in Asians caddies were mandatory.  And given May’s clear pregnancy we got extra attention.  The lady caddies didn’t want her doing anything.  Somehow May got to go JetSkiing and not Jeff.  There were exotic animals in the hotel including a peacock and a elephant!  We of course had to enjoy a “Thai message” and being right on the beach it was pretty fabulous.

Logistically, we ended up moving up to the Banyan Tree.  This is a truly fabulous resort.  And although we were essentially paying for two hotels for those nights, it was worth it.
